Product Description

Original antique map of Rivers Comparative. This vintage map of Rivers Comparative comes from the 1833 edition of Finley's New General Atlas of The World. Published by Anthony Finley, engraved by Young and Delleker and printed by Jos. Perkins in Philadelphia 1833."This atlas was first issued in 1824, with editions published annually to 1834. Each succeeding year new maps were added and others updated" (Rumsey). "Not much is known of Anthony Finley, other than his published work but he was probably born around 1790. Judging from contributors to his atlases, he apparently moved in the same Philadelphia circles of engravers and compilers as other contemporary publishers" (Ristow, p.268) such as Tanner and Mitchell. This beautiful historic old map of Rivers Comparative would make a fine addition for ones collection or display in home or office.
