New York State antique map original. This original vintage map of New York comes from Mitchell's New Universal Atlas. This atlas was published by Thomas Cowperthwait in 1853 at 253 Market St. Philadelphia. Cowperthwait acquired the rights to the New Universal Atlas in 1850 from Mitchell and continued annual updates until 1855. This authentic historic old map of New York is printed on one side only with a blank reverse side and beautiful hand coloring. There are two repaired tears without loss and barley visible once laid. This one of a kind old map of New York would make a fine addition to any collection.
