Beautiful insets of St. Augustine Florida, the Isthmus of Panama, Vera Cruz Mexico and Santo Domingo Dominican republic. Also a nice view of Mexico City. The detail around the Caribbean basin is very remarkable and nearly every waterway is listed. Published by Homann Heirs in Nuremberg Germany in 1740 although the map is dated 1731. The right margin has been repaired in two places as shown but does not affect the map image. A fine original vintage map for display in ones home, office or collection.
