This original antique map of Venezuela, Columbia or New Granada and Ecuador comes from Mitchell's Universal Atlas of 1855. This is the first edition published by DeSilver. He had acquired the rights to the Universal Atlas from Cowperthwait in 1855 who in turn had acquired the rights from Mitchell in 1850. This map was published by DeSilver and Cowperthwait in 1855 at No. 253 Market St. Philadelphia. Please check the legend for this maps condition. The paper size for this map is approximately 17" x 13.5". This authentic vintage map has a blank verso or back side and beautiful coloring on sturdy paper. This map is truly a fine piece of Northern South American history just prior to the American Civil War. This map would make a fine addition to any collection or for beautiful display in home or office decoration.
