This one of a kind original antique map of Venezuela New Grenada and Ecuador comes from S.A. Mitchell Universal Atlas of 1847. New Grenada is present day Columbia. This is the second edition of Mitchell's famous Universal Atlas the first being published in 1846. Mitchell had acquired the rights to the Universal Atlas in 1845 from H. Tanner who first published it in 1836. Published on N.E. Corner of Market and 7th St. Philadelphia. Please check the legend for this maps condition. The paper size for this map is approximately 17" x 13.5". This authentic vintage map has a blank verso or back side and beautiful coloring on sturdy paper. This map is truly a fine piece of South American history just prior to the American Civil War. This map would make a fine addition to any collection or for beautiful display in home or office decoration.
