This genuine original antique map of Brazil Suriname and the Guyanas comes from Colton's Atlas of the World Volume I of 1855. This is the first edition of Colton's famous World Atlases. Published in New York, this volume contains maps of the Americas. The second volume was published the following year in 1856. Please check the legend for this maps condition. The paper size for this map is approximately 18" x 15". This authentic vintage map has a blank verso or back side and beautiful coloring on sturdy paper. This map is truly a fine piece of history just prior to the American Civil War. This map would make a nice addition to any collection in home, office or public area.
