This original vintage antique double page map measures approximately 23" X 17" ( 58cm X 43cm) and comes from Black's General Atlas Comprehending Sixty-One maps from the latest and most authentic sources, engraved on steel in the first style of the art---. This map is in very good condition and printed on one side only with a blank verso (reverse side). The atlas was engraved by Sidney Hall, Hughes and Co. in Edinburgh Scotland in 1846. A handsome hand colored atlas detailing the many countries and kingdoms of the time and also the ancient world as they knew it. This historical old map is a fine item for display, gift or collection.
