This original antique map is a large double page map measuring approximately 18" X 32" ( 46 X 82 cm) and comes from "Colton's Atlas of the World illustrating Physical and Political Geography by George W. Colton Vol. I & II New York J.H. Colton & Company no. 172 William, Corner Beekman St. 1856." This is a rare and important atlas from the time period just prior to the American Civil War. Colton Publishers where know for their accuracy and fine atlas construction. Each map has a strong impression on sturdy paper. A fine item for framing, display or gift.
