This original vintage antique map measures approximately 16" X 13" ( 41 cm X 33 cm). It comes from the New Universal Atlas, containing maps of the various Empires, Kingdoms, States and Republics of the World by H.S. Tanner. The Atlas was published by the author in 1836 at Philadelphia USA. A fine and rare atlas detailing the state of the world at that time. This map is hand colored and printed on strong paper. The map is on one side only with a blank verso or backside. The fine work of Tanner is well known in the period. Original vintage and antique map such as this make fine gifts and are suitable for collection and framing.
