This large double page original antique map measures approximately 28" X 18" ( 71cm X 45cm) and comes from Walling's "Official Topographical Atlas of Massachusetts". Compiled and collected by H.F. Walling & O.W. Gray. Published by Stedman, Brown & Lyon in 1871 at 102 Chauncey St. Boston. The early structure of Boston was much different than today. The roadworks in the Fens were just in their planning stages on this map. A true slice of history from one of the United States oldest and grandest cities. This map has an image on only 1 side and the verso (back) side is blank. A fine item for display, gift or collection.
