This original antique double page large map measures approximately 30" X 18.5" ( 76 X 47 cm) and comes from "Johnson's new illustrated (steel Plate) Family Atlas, with descriptions, geographical, statistical, historical, Compiled, drawn and engraved---J.H. Colton & A.J. Johnson---." Published by Johnson & Browning No. 133 Nassau St. New York, New York, 1860. This map is printed on one side only and has a blank verso or back side. This is a nice atlas from the time period just prior to the American Civil War. A fine item for framing, display or gift.
