This original antique map measures approximately 17" X 14" ( 43 X 36 cm) and comes from "A New Universal Atlas containing maps of the various Empires, Kingdoms, States and Republics of the World---Published by Carey & Hart 1845 Philadelphia". Each map has printed on it its year of copyright and some are as early as 1836!!! A truly rare and important pre civil war atlas. Each map has a strong impression on sturdy paper. A fine item for framing, display or gift.
